Hinsdale County School District’s Digital Accessibility Statement

Commitment

Hinsdale County School District (HCSD) is committed to providing equitable access to our digital services for all users, regardless of ability.

How We Are Implementing Accessibility

Website Testing and Remediation

  • We conduct testing of all webpages for accessibility and quality assurance.

  • We continue to test and remediate our digital products in an effort to provide continuous improvement of our sites and applications.

  • In addition, we make use of tools such as the Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (WAVE), Contrast Checker by WebAIM and other testing tools.

  • Please note that some pages on the HCSD website contain links to third-party sites or documents. HCSD is not responsible for the content or accessibility of third-party sites.

Training

We provide accessibility training to all staff through regular targeted training.

Procurement

We have developed processes to ensure all digital products we procure meet established technical standards by including accessibility assurances in contracts, requiring vendors to complete a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), also known as an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR), and validating the accessibility information we receive.

Progress

Hinsdale County School District’s Evidence of Progress on an Accessibility Plan explains how our district is working towards compliance with state standards.
