Happy February FOURTEENERS,
It is the month of love…. It seems like tradition to give someone you love a sweet treat, Valentines or flowers to let them know how much you appreciate and love them. It is a great time to be creative and do some projects with the family to share the love.
What is in season this month?
Blood oranges make a debut for the month of February and are wonderful. This amazing fruit is a citrus and has a vibrant orange color on the outside and the inside is a dark crimson, like blood color. Blood oranges are full of rich antioxidants, this will help lower your risk of chronic health problems like heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Blood oranges are also great sources of Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Potassium, Dietary Fiber and Manganese.
With this many benefits you can’t help but love this wonderful sweet treat.
HAPPY, HEALTHY EATING!
