Hello October,

I hope that everyone has been enjoying a great start to school and the beautiful cooler weather.  I can't believe we are already into our first month of school and Fall has arrived.  With the cooler weather comes some amazing and yummy foods for the season.  Can't wait to cook up some yummy fall foods for your students.

School Nutrition and Wellness
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions that you might have in regards to your child's dietary needs.  There is a form that is provided by the CDE for you and your pediatrician to fill out if in need of meal modifications.  This covers food allergies, digestive issues, intolerances, etc.   It is very important that if your child is not able to eat a food item that I have listed on the menu that a medical form is filled out and signed by your doctor.  I am not able to modify your child's meals without that form.  Medical Statement for Meal Modification instructions and printable form.

We work hard at meeting all the USDA/CDE guidelines in supporting proper nutrition and providing nutritious breakfast and lunches that will fuel your children's minds.  I would love to sit down and talk with you if you would like more information with the USDA/CDE in regards to the reimbursable meal pattern.

Lake City Community School is participating in a Universal Breakfast and Lunch Program for the current school year 2023-2024. If your children attend any of the schools listed, breakfast/lunch will be available to them at no charge.  All students enrolled at this school may participate in the breakfast/lunch program at no charge to them.  See "Public Release:  Community Eligibility Provision" for the full text.
